Interviewer: How have you been?
Daesung: We had received the award ‘World Wide Act’ on EMA last year. It was a first that an Asian got a prize on EMA. We saw that award ceremony when we were still just a trainee. So it felt like a dream. I had YG Family Concerts in Korea and Japan with YG Family. These days, I’m doing my best for this album, ALIVE.

Interviewer: What is BIGBANG to you?
Daesung: BIGBANG is my family. We are so close to each other. We have so many good things. When we have problem, I want to say sorry to them. When we are happy, I want to say thank you to them. We are five but I feel that we are also one.

Interviewer: Tell me about ALIVE’s meaning.
Daesung: We are not really old but we have been BIGBANG for 6 years now. We have already shown various performances. People got accustomed to our music. So we want to show them, our talent, musical trial and passion are still ALIVE. Not dead.

Interviewer: Someone says that it’s too early to come out. How do you think about it?
Daesung: I was so worried about that. I told Yang Hyunsuk, who is my boss, about my worries a lot. I gave a lot of thought about that matter. BIGBANG is a singer. We always tell them everything we want to express through our music. People express their feelings through crying or anger. We express it through music. Of course we need to have time for self-restraint and self-reflection but that period is not permanent. I want to share them about my emotion but care/worry sits heavily on me. I know it’s early to come out but it’s also right tim. I know that everyone can’t agree on the same thing. We have a burden that we have to share. We want to share our good music to them.

Interviewer: Tell me about BLUE.
Daesung: ‘Sky Blue’ gives us good feelings but our’BLUE’, it is more like dark blue. It symbolizes longing, sorrow, pain and so on. We miss someone who’s already gone in this song. First lyrics are “Winter is gone, spring is come…” I think that Blue’s lyrics are really good. I felt that the same when I sang this song. Blue have two sensation; Hope and loneliness. Its melody is really lyrical and sad. I think it is also the right song to come out this time.

Interviewer: It has been a long time. How have you been?
GD: I’ve been fine. I spent my time with my family. Prepared for this album and spent some time thinking this and that.

I: What is your thought about singers? I wonder, what do you think about your figure?
GD: Well, when I was a young boy, I thought singers are cool. That’s why I wanted to be a singer in my early years. I think Bigbang is cool. Not being on the stage, but also in real life. I don’t mean that they are handsome and tall. I mean they got swag. There are so many things that I have to learn as a friend, a young brother, and an older brother. It makes me a burden because I’m a leader but it also makes me try to push myself.
I: What is your biggest stress/pressure?
GD: Preparing for the next album. It is one of biggest pressure to me because the next album is more important than the last one. When I had to prepare for the last album, ‘TONIGHT’, I thought “This is the most important album!” When I prepared for this album, I thought “This album is the most important one!” Maybe I will think again the same when I prepare for a new album. It is also one of my pleasant worries. I was pulsating. Well, I don’t know. Last year, ‘TONIGHT’ was my favorite album. And now it’s ‘BLUE’. My taste in music changes continuously and I share it to people. I wonder what they will say to me after they listen to it and what part they like the most. I’m going well.

I: Bigbang sings mainly about LOVE.
GD: I think many Korean think about love a lot and they want comfort. When you hear music, you think that “Oh this lyrics is what I have in mind.” or when you are sad, you hear the music and cry. That’s why music is powerful.

I: Tell me about BLUE.
GD: BLUE… Many people think that idol group just have younger fans. But I think more twenties and thirties age group will really like this song. They will sing more and sympathize with this song more than teenagers will.

I: Do you have assurance in this album?
GD: Uh…. Yes. I’m always confident with it. Not boasting. When we hear our music, we said “That’s it!” haha. Because it is ours. I pour out my soul and try to be frank. And… it is for the season.

[news] Bigbang to prome all tracks of 5th mini album “Alive”

Two days before, YG had revealed through its official blog that Blue and Bad Boy would be promoted as double titles. The day after, however, it added the title track markings to Love Dust and Fantastic Baby, and finally on February 17 it added No Fun and Wing to the title track list, making all of the songs, excluding the intro, title songs for the album.

The words ‘double title songs’ have often been used to mean that two songs would be promoted as the main single cuts from an album, but announcing that all of the tracks from a single album will be promoted as ‘title’ songs is a rare feat not only in Korea, but also overseas.

The new challenge is adding to the weight on Big Bang’s shoulders for its comeback, heightening anticipation for what type of new music and styles it will showcase.

Many idol groups disband or retire when they reach their fifth year. Big Bang also met its biggest crisis in 2011, its 5th year, as it endured many big incidents.

A rep from YG said, “After the incidents, the Big Bang members have been regretting their actions and have concentrated only on their music in the studio. Thanks to that, they were able to come up with satisfactory results, so satisfactory that all of the songs from the album were deemed title songs.”

Big Bang recently filmed the music video for Blue and Bad Boy in New York. Although the shoot was kept strictly under wraps, local paparazzi swarmed to capture the members on film ever since they stepped foot in the airport, surprising even the local bodyguards.

Because there are no legal measures that can be taken against paparazzis, news of Big Bang’s music video shoot made it into overseas internet websites, proving that Korea wasn’t the only country that was interested in Big Bang’s upcoming album.

Big Bang’s mini album will be released on February 29, and the single Blue will be released beforehand on February 22.

A preview of Blue will be provided on February 17 through a 30 second preview on Naver Music and also through the TV commercials that will show how the Big Bang members feel about their comeback.

Big Bang plans to start off its promotion in Seoul with its Seoul concert from March 2-4, and will continue to meet fans around the world with its world tour, Big Bang Alive Tour 2012.

“Eye contact with T.O.P” photos create online buzz

Big Bang’s T.O.P, charismatic in sunglasses as if a cut from a pictorial

Pictures of Big Bang member T.O.P taken by a fan at the set of a CF are creating a buzz online.

Recently on an online community board, several pictures have been posted tagged as ‘T.O.P, you’re looking at me, right?”

Even though the pictures are taken by a fan, T.O.P exudes a feel like he’s in a pictorial. T.O.P may be wearing a pair of sunglasses, but his charisma takes over and it feels as if he’s making eye contact.

Netizens commented, “If really feels like he’s making eye contact”, “T.O.P is a perfect man”, and “It looks like the shot is out of focus because they were nervous.”

G-Dragon about past controversies in High Cut

Big Bang member G-Dragon showed off many facets to his facial expressions for the recent photo shoot for ‘High Cut’. Whether he is looking lovable holding a huge teddy bear or holds a dragon above his head for the year of the dragon, or is surrounded by sexy female models looking taken aback, G-Dragon’s presence shined through.G-Dragon proved why he is referred to as a fashion icon utilizing various accessories in stylish ways.At the set, Big Bang member Taeyang and Daesung made surprise appearances and said, “Please take good care of our Ji Yong.”

During the interview that followed the photo shoot, G-Dragon commented regarding Big Bang’s activities in 2012, “I think we need to work harder than ever with the feeling of repaying grace.”

When asked “Public criticism is also expected (about restarting his activities as a singer)”, G-Dragon said, “Anyways, it’s my fault so I will accept it. I am trying to keep the heart and mind open.”

G-Dragon also added, “I enjoy watching SBS ‘K-Pop Star’ that the president (Yang Hyun Suk) is appearing on. I said to the president that if I didn’t come into the company (YG) early on, I think I would have failed on ‘K-Pop Star’.” As far as a promising contender, G-Dragon picked Lee Seung Hoon, who is said to live 1 minute away from the YG building.

[NEWS] Seungri to make a cameo at MBC drama, “Light & Shadow”!

Big Bang’s Seungri will be making a special appearance on MBC’s drama Light and Shadow.

On the December 26 broadcast’s performance group regional tour episode, Seungri will be appearing as an aspiring celebrity. He is a bold and cunning character from Yeosu and introduces himself as the ‘Nam Jin of Yeosu’

Seungri is actually from Gwangju, which is also in Jeolla Province where Yeosu is located, and as he has fluently used the Jeolla dialect before on television, viewers are expecting him to fit in the role perfectly.

Seungri said, “It’s my first time appearing as a cameo in a drama, and I’m looking forward to the shoot because I heard the role resembles me.”

The December 20 broadcast of Light and Shadow told of how Kang Gi Tae (Ahn Jae Wook) joined the Bitnara performance group to learn how to manage a performance group and its performances. He also met again with Lee Jung Hye (Nam Sang Mi) and Yoo Chae Young (Son Dambi), heightening anticipation for the plot to follow.

[NEWS] Big Bang to release a new album in march 2012?

Big Bang has announced that they’ll be releasing a new album in March!

On December 16th, representatives of YG Entertainment confirmed, “Big Bang has decided to hold their ‘Big Show‘ concert in March of 2012. Ahead of the concert, they’ll be releasing a new album. They had halted their activities this year because of unpredicted accidents, but they’ll be returning to their official activities for the first time in nearly a year through their ‘Big Show’ next year.”

Big Bang will also be performing at the YG Family concerts next year in Osaka and Saitama.

According to representatives, G-Dragon is currently concentrating on the production of the songs for the new album. Without rest, he is at the company recording studio every day to ensure its prompt release.

Seungri tampil di Running Man

Pada 6 Februari SBS’s Sunday variety program, ‘Running Man,’ merilis preview untuk episode berikutnya. dari klip tersebut, terlohat Seungri yang menjadi bintang tamu yang akan datang.

Baru-baru ini seungri telah menenjukan kemampuan dan bakatnya yang berbeda dalam program “King of Idol” dan Idol “Athletics and Swimming Championship” dan kini kembali ia hadir di acara “running Man”. acara ini akan membuat siapapun yang menonton, padti akan merasa terhibur.

Big Bang menghasilkan 3.6 juta won dalam 1 tahun melalui game online

Di bulan Juli 2009, Big Bang merilis karakter games untuk game online FPS “Sudden Attack”. Disini para games bisa mengontrol karakter game mirip dengan bintang idola mereka dan mendengar sekitar 80 sound efek yang direkam para member Big Bang sendiri.

Menurut pengembang “Sudden Attack”, Game High, Big Bang terjual hingga 1.03 juta karakter (termasuk kotak acak) antara Juli-Desember 2009 dan diketahui kalo harga karakternya dari 1300 hingga 18900 won.

Diketahui kalau karakter semua member Big Bang menyebabkan karakter para pemain menjadi kuat dan ini yang mempengaruhi penjualan. Saat karakter terkumpul, gamers bisa meraih senjata rahasia utama dan mengumpulkan granat dengan tidak terbatas.

Urutan tingkat penjualannya diantara member adalah TOP dengan 38%, Daesung 27%, Taeyang 22% lalu Seungri 13%. Sedangkan G-Dragon tidak diitung karena karakternya tidak dijual sebagai item terpisah.

Menurut Game High, Karakter Big Bang sukses menghasilkan rata2 300 juta won sebulan. Perwakilan ini juga bilang kalo mereka memulai pemasaran dengan menampilkan karakter idola pada ahun 2008 dimulai dari Rain setelah dua minggu perilisan lalu meluncurkan Big Bang, 2NE1.

Big Bang diperkirakan menghasilkan 3.6 juta won dalam 1 tahun aja melalui game “Sudden Attack”. dan YG Entertainment juga mendapat sekitar 1.1 juta won dari penjualan karakter game.

Lalu kalo di itung2 penghasilan dari Big Bang, ditahun 2009 adalah sebesar 4.9 miliar won, penghasilan dari karakter game ini adalah jumlah yang luar biasa. Menurut perusahaan research game, Game Tricks,game “Sudden Attack” ambil bagian 10% dari pasar PC rooms dan merupakan salah satu game yang paling populer di Korea dan menjadikan Big Bang sbg selebriti dengan penghasilan terbanyak melalui game. Mereka dibayar sekitar 200-300 juta won untuk kontrak 6 bulan termasuk syuting CF dan jadi model game.

Setelah berita Big Bang menuyju USA untuk syuting MV comebacknya, VIP pun semakin heboh berargumen soal lokasi tepatnya. Namun, ada bukti kalau Big Bang menuju ke LAS VEGAS untuk lokasi syuting.

Menurut sebuah foto yg diambil fans, Big bang menuju Las Vegas dengan Korean Air siang kemarin. Beberapa member nampak ada yg melakukan perubahan penampilan, teermasuk gaya rambutnya G-Dragon. So, sapa yg mau gigit mereka karena saking gregetannya ???
